NE03 Position Summary Performs a wide variety of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the assigned Academic Department. Duties & Responsibilities Monitors and coordinates accounting activities and prepares internal reports for the department as well as performs accounting; participates in budget planning and monitors/tracks department purchases, costs, and invoices. Performs administrative duties for assigned department administration, faculty, and students, which includes providing customer service, composing and typing minutes and general correspondence, researching and collecting data, establishing and maintaining record keeping, ordering supplies, and handling the purchasing process. Updates and maintains program accreditation information and tracks employee professional development. Coordinates department travel and organizes department catalog process when assigned. Serves as backup for the reception desk and provides coverage in the absence of other staff. Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree OR High school diploma or equivalent AND Up to two (2) years of related experience
Preferences:
Experience providing administrative or office support in a professional setting Experience with purchasing, budget tracking or other financial administrative tasks Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common office technology Customer service experience
