Job Description

Position Summary The Store Manager directly supervises and coordinates all retail store functions and team members. We are looking for a strong leader with great communication and customer service skills for our McDermitt location. The Store Manager is responsible for all management functions, including inventory management, budgeting, safety, and reporting, in addition to supervisory duties. Essential Duties and Functions Drive sales and service initiatives by providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the store. Manage daily operations of the store by delegating work and participating in the execution of tasks as needed. Reinforce company policy and procedure and regulatory requirements through ongoing and routine safety meetings and inspections. Prepare, review, and submit daily reports including inventory audits, incident reports, cash totals, among others. Engage in recruitment and process to interview, hire, and onboard employees. Train, coach, and develop employees through performance management to deliver exceptional service and help achieve organizational goals. Perform essential personnel actions, such as performance management, disciplinary action, and assist in employee relations investigations. Develop employee work schedules and review and approve employee timesheets. Monitor store inventory and process all inbound merchandise shipments, in-store price changes, store-to-store product transfers, and special marketing events. Partner with District Managers and Director of Retail to develop methods and procedures that increase sales, expand customer base, and promote the business. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead staff, help customers, and work with management. Ability to work unsupervised, in a fast-paced environment. May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be at least 21 years old or older. Education/Experience Prior management and retail experience is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and POS systems. Must have valid driver's license and car insurance. Food Handlers permit is a plus. Worker's Compensation and OSHA experience is a plus. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Physical Job Requirements This position requires the ability to remain in a standing stationary position more than half the time. The person in this position will need to move about the store and position him/herself (ex: kneel, crawl, crouch down) to fulfill the essential functions of the role more than half the time. The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 50 lbs. This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists (ex: typing, sweeping, slicing deli meat, operating the Point-of-Sale system, etc.). This position is exposed to hazardous/chemical materials and outdoor weather conditions less than half the time. This position operates heavy machinery less than half the time and the individual in this role must be able to meet all safety requirements of the respective equipment. Travel Requirements This position travels locally 5% daily.
