Job Description

Store Manager - Bargain Treasures Job Summary Bargain Treasures is looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our store. As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for creating a positive experience for both our customers and employees. We're looking for someone who leads by example, communicates well, works alongside their team, and takes pride in keeping the store organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. Bargain Treasures offers a constantly changing selection of discounted merchandise, bargain bins, mystery boxes, and other great finds. Because our inventory is always changing, we need a manager who is adaptable, organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Lead by example and provide excellent customer service to every customer who enters the store. Create a friendly, welcoming, and positive environment for both customers and employees. Supervise, support, and motivate Retail Store Associates throughout their shifts. Help train new employees on customer service, store procedures, register operations, stocking, and company expectations. Assign daily tasks and make sure responsibilities are completed efficiently. Work alongside the team when needed, including running the register, stocking merchandise, organizing the sales floor, and assisting customers. Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and respectfully. Oversee opening and closing procedures and make sure the store is properly prepared for business. Operate and oversee the POS system, cash handling, register transactions, and cash drawer procedures. Help maintain accurate cash handling and ensure registers are properly managed. Keep shelves, displays, bargain bins, mystery boxes, and other merchandise organized and well presented. Assist with receiving deliveries, unloading merchandise, sorting products, pricing items, and getting new inventory onto the sales floor. Monitor inventory levels and communicate merchandise or supply needs to ownership. Make sure the store remains clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready throughout the day. Stay informed about current promotions, giveaways, mystery box programs, pricing, and store events. Communicate important information clearly with employees and ownership. Address employee concerns and performance issues appropriately and communicate larger concerns to ownership when necessary. Help ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, attendance expectations, and customer service standards. Encourage teamwork and help create a work environment where employees support one another. Take initiative when problems arise and help find practical solutions to keep the store operating smoothly. What We're Looking For Strong customer service and people skills. Positive attitude with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Dependable, responsible, and punctual. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities at once. Comfortable making decisions and handling customer or employee concerns when necessary. Willingness to work alongside employees rather than simply delegate tasks. Ability to remain professional and calm in a fast-paced environment. Previous retail, customer service, or management experience is preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, stocking, or inventory management is a plus. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately manage transactions and cash. Ability to learn quickly as merchandise, promotions, and store inventory frequently change. Leadership at Bargain Treasures At Bargain Treasures, our Store Manager is an important part of the team. We're looking for someone who is willing to lead from the floor, help employees succeed, and make sure customers receive the friendly service that keeps them coming back. A successful manager should be someone employees feel comfortable communicating with while also maintaining clear expectations and accountability. If you enjoy working with people, leading a team, solving problems, and creating a great shopping experience, we'd love to hear from you! For Indeed, I'd probably also add pay range, full-time/part-time status, expected weekly hours, and availability requirements near the top. If you want, I can make you a more professional/manager-level version that attracts stronger candidates and weeds out people who aren't serious about actually managing the store.
