Gourmet Mediterranean Market is looking for a retail associate with a strong passion for food and customer service. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales, packaging food and maintaining a positive attitude in a retail environment. We offer our customers exceptional customer service, often very personalized, so we need someone who will remain calm and positive, even during stressful retail situations. We are a family owned business which has been in the community for over 30 years and are in the process of expanding, we offer both stability and room for growth. This job is 40 hours a week/ 6 days a week with the potential for extra hours during busy times.

Qualifications/Job Expectations:

You will be responsible for setting up and opening the store every morning. Demonstrated passion for food and interactive sales techniques. Your primary goal will be to create a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for packaging our homemade dips, salads & pastries as well as maintaining and restocking display areas on the sales floor, ensuring that products such as the olive bar, refrigerator, bakery display, and other products are well presented and readily available. Receive products, bag/box items, operate a cash register, take customer orders and perform other tasks as needed. Prepare and gift wrap gourmet gift baskets.
