Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales management, merchandising, and inventory control. Lead and supervise store staff, including training and development to ensure excellent customer service and efficient shift management. Manage cash handling procedures, POS systems, and cashiering activities with accuracy and integrity. Coordinate purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory management to optimize product availability and minimize shrinkage. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional displays to boost sales and enhance store visibility. Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and performance evaluations to build a motivated team. Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and health regulations while fostering a positive work environment through effective communication skills. Experience Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail sales or grocery stores is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and supervising staff members. Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, merchandising techniques, and marketing concepts. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities such as stock stocking, store maintenance, and administrative tasks. Familiarity with POS systems, wireless sales (if applicable), and retail management software is a plus.
