Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our collision repair service operations. In this role, you will oversee daily shop activities, manage a team of skilled technicians and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, and vehicle maintenance will drive efficiency, quality, and profitability. As a key leader, you will coordinate repairs, manage estimating processes using specialized software, and promote a positive work environment that encourages growth and excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the body shop team, including technicians, estimators, and support staff to ensure smooth operations. Oversee all aspects of collision repair processes, from initial customer consultation to final quality inspection. Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and communicate effectively with clients regarding scope of work and costs. Manage workflow scheduling to maximize productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Upsell additional services such as vehicle diagnostics, oil changes, tire services, suspension repairs, brake repairs, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, transmissions, and other automotive repairs. Ensure compliance with industry standards for collision repair and automotive service management. Maintain client communication throughout the repair process to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Monitor shop performance metrics including cycle times, labor hours, and profitability; implement improvements as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records for all services performed. Skills Proven experience in auto collision repair leadership roles with dealership or independent shops. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience preferred; familiar with automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools for precise job costing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and estimates. Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and transparency. Experience in auto estimating techniques combined with sales skills to grow revenue streams. Familiarity with service writing processes and collision repair standards. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate vehicles safely on-site as needed.
