Job Description

Manager on Duty (MOD) Goldfish Swim School - New Rochelle 14 Weyman Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805 Goldfish Swim School - New Rochelle is looking for a dependable and confident Manager on Duty (MOD) to support the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in the daily operation of the facility. The MOD serves as a building keyholder and is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and positive environment for our members and team. What You'll Do Serve as the manager on duty and keyholder during assigned shifts Support and supervise Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, Deck Supervisors, and Deck Assistants Assist the Front Desk with phones, customer service, and daily operations Handle customer concerns and escalate complaints appropriately Monitor pool operations, including water testing and basic pump room functions Ensure safety procedures, facility standards, and opening/closing procedures are followed Communicate staffing, facility, and operational issues to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager Provide direction and support to team members throughout the shift Respond appropriately to emergencies and unexpected situations What We're Looking For Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable, organized, and comfortable making decisions independently Comfortable working around children and in a busy, fast-paced environment Willingness to learn basic pool operations, water chemistry, and pump room procedures Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are a plus Must be able to pass required background screening Schedule Part-time position with weekday and weekend availability required . Hours will vary based on programming, staffing, and facility needs.
