Part-time, Temporary until January 16, 2027 with possibility of longer Manager for a market hosting eclectic mix of artistic vendors. This position focuses on the overall operations, financial management, vendor relations, strategic planning and leadership for the market.Core Responsibilities Operations Management:
Create and alter employee schedules, manage time off requests. Meet with the owner regularly to provide updates on market operations, issues, and performance. Oversee weekly emails from vendors, addressing concerns, questions, and scheduling conflicts. Write and send the monthly vendor newsletter and rent payment reminders. Provide the parking schedule for employees. Resolve conflicts or operational issues (e.g., vendor no-shows, customer complaints) Address mistakes on the point-of-sale system and ensure corrections are made. Handle employee concerns and complaints, schedule HR meetings if necessary. Update the team on market changes and provide necessary documents (e.g., opening/closing checklists, stealing protocols, vendor discount lists). Ensure all AC units are set appropriately based on weather and owner requests. Approve or deny new products and booth design changes for vendors. Contact internet/phone providers to resolve technical difficulties. Write pop-up contracts and schedule dates for events. Review daily sales alerts before the end of each month to correct errors. Promote and organize pop-up events (e.g., music, exhibitions) and train sales associates for these events.Administrative and Financial Tasks:
Send in Payroll weekly Record vendor rent payments and check pickups in physical documents and files. Record monthly settlement data for all 39 vendors in a spreadsheet. Write monthly settlement checks. Track employee sick time in a spreadsheet. Provide proof of employment documents for employees. Handle cash and check deposits twice a month (including rent checks). Arrange transportation to the bank on days with sufficient staffing. Attend cybersecurity/IT and marketing meetings as needed.Vendor and Lease Management:
Oversee the yearly lease renewal process (July-November), including: Reviewing the previous year's lease and making requested changes. Translating changes into legalese and meeting with the owner and corresponding with an attorney. Emailing vendors about lease renewals and their options (stay, leave, or rent another booth). Meeting with vendors to sign new leases, filing them, and emailing copies. Collecting insurance and security deposits, and first month's rent from vendors. Coordinating load-in and load-out dates and ensuring vendors vacate spaces on time. Vet new vendors by reviewing jotforms, reaching out to potential vendors, and meeting with them to discuss lease terms. Onboard new vendors, providing them with load-in dates, and updating the POS system, physical vendor list, and website.Pay:
