The Opportunity Toff's Sugar Shop is hiring an experienced Part Time Assistant Manager with the possibility of advancing. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can step in immediately, help the store manager run the store during any scheduled shift, and take ownership of daily operations. Open availability is essential for success in this role and for advancement. ⸻ Position Overview As an Assistant Manager at Toff's Sugar Shop, you'll help lead daily store operations, support the store manager, and keep our vibe (and shelves) fully stocked and awesome. You'll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, deliver amazing customer experiences, and bring creative ideas to life for displays, promotions, and community events. This position is perfect for someone who loves candy, teamwork, and making people smile, but also understands retail operations, accountability, and leadership. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Strong availability for weekends, evenings and peak business hours. These times are a must as they are our busiest times. Assist in daily operations, including opening/closing duties, cash handling, training. Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest has a fun, memorable experience. Help oversee staff training, motivation, and performance. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards. Track and manage inventory levels; assist with restocking and vendor orders. Help create engaging product displays and seasonal promotions. Handle daily record-keeping, including sales tracking and POS reports. Support community engagement events and in-store promotions. Step in as acting manager when needed. ⸻ Qualifications Prior retail or food service experience preferred (management or key holder experience a plus). Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. A positive attitude and team-player mindset. Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented. Must enjoy working with people of all ages — especially kids and families! Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and basic computer tools. Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods. ⸻ Schedule & Availability 20-25+ hours per week.
