Job Description
Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Portfolio Manager to support the day-to-day management of fixed income portfolios for a diverse client base. This role will assist portfolio managers with trade execution, market analysis, portfolio monitoring, and strategy implementation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, a detail-oriented mindset, and a collaborative spirit to help meet client objectives and support the broader investment team. Primary Responsibilities Support the management and trading of short-duration fixed income portfolios, including U.S. Treasuries, agencies, investment-grade corporates, municipals, securitized products, CDs, and money market instruments. Assist in ensuring portfolios are managed consistently across accounts, aligning with target allocations and individual client guidelines. Help maintain Broker-Dealer relationships and contribute to the execution of trades with a focus on market coverage and pricing efficiency. Conduct research and analysis of fixed income sectors and individual securities, with attention to macroeconomic factors, interest rate outlooks, and sector fundamentals. Provide analytical and operational support to senior portfolio managers and collaborate with client service and business development teams to deliver customized portfolio solutions. Participate in the development and implementation of fixed income strategies across LGIPs, Money Market Funds, and Separately Managed Accounts. Contribute to internal reporting, market commentary, investment memos, and credit reviews as needed.
