Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.

Job Description

Goodwill of South Central Ohio is growing, and we're looking for an Assistant Store Manager who's ready to lead. Our retail stores are mission-driven operations where leadership matters. As an Assistant Store Manager, you play a key role in daily operations, team development, and delivering results-while directly supporting our mission of overcoming barriers to employment for individuals with disabilities. If you're hands-on, people-focused, and ready to grow into the next level of leadership, this role is for you.

Job Requirements:

Ability to work with all types of people, some with disabilities. A self-starter who can work independently and as a team player. Able to follow orders, meet deadlines and deal with stressful situations. Operate cash register, adding machine. Detail oriented and style conscious. Must do attractive displays. Keep necessary records and submit required paperwork in a timely manner. Make daily bank deposits. Responsible for store monies. Must be friendly with pleasant personality and neat appearance.

Reliable Transportation Job Duties:

Responsible for opening and closing. Train employees with assistance from Store Manager. Keep accurate records as required. Responsible for maintaining realistic level of merchandise for sale. Store displays. Daily banking.

Scheduling / Payroll

Ensure that excellent customer service is provided along with a friendly atmosphere. Keep accurate inventory records. Store must be neat, clean and orderly. Work with Director of Retail Operations on moving material. Work with Director of Retail Operations on shipping, storage and building needs. Be active in the community. Assist with advertising and publicity. Attend training seminars if requested. Assist with Safety Program. Other duties as assigned. Full and Part Time Positions available. Benefits apply to full time only. Reports to Store Manager. Employees must adhere to Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio's ethical code of conduct.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
