An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing daily operations of a high-volume store location, ensuring smooth and efficient service deliverySupervise and support team members, providing guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to foster professional developmentHelp train new and existing staff members on company policies, procedures, and customer service standardsMonitor and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulationsAssist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular inventory countsSupport cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records and transactionsHelp develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and improve store performanceAddress customer concerns and complaints professionally, working toward satisfactory resolutionsAssist with scheduling and workforce management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hoursDemonstrate strong self-motivation and take initiative in identifying and solving operational challengesSupport the Store Manager in executing company initiatives and maintaining brand standardsFoster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and accountability•
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Starting pay ranges from $14 to $17 per hour, with flexible scheduling available up to 45 hours per week.
