POSITION SUMMARY

Profitably lead and manage a retail store location, including sales, merchandising, inventory, facility image, personnel, and planning.

Retail District Manager Supervises:

Assistant Store Manager, Department Managers, Grooming Department Responsibilities Manage store personnel, including staff selection, training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating employees. Oversee location sales and customer service using established retail customer service standards. Facilitate store location inventory productivity. Manage and maintain store facility and location equipment using established retail image standards. Direct location merchandise management, including receiving, merchandising, and selling of product, utilizing procedures established by retail administration. Manage daily store sales, bookkeeping responsibilities, and local expense approval, as well as monitor and act on daily reports, inventory, and other computer or manual practices. Participate as a member of the retail management team. Plan and execute annual operating budgets for the store location, including sales and margin projections and expense control. Lead and participate in regular and special meetings. Participate in special project work when requested. Special Skills/Training Knowledge of management, supervision practices, principles, and regulations. Knowledge of the industry and support of Wilco's core values. Skill to operate computer systems and automated office machines. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to customers and staff. Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers. Experience/Education 5 years of retail experience. 2 years of retail management experience. College degree or equivalent experience.
