Job Description

Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations in our Belle Vernon, PA location. In this on-site role, you'll help lead associates, oversee cash handling and POS systems, and maintain inventory accuracy and merchandising standards. You'll troubleshoot basic in-store technology, ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention policies, and deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in daily operations and achieving sales targets Supervise, train, and schedule store associates Ensure accurate cash handling, POS use, and daily reconciliations Maintain inventory accuracy, stock levels, and merchandising standards Monitor store technology and coordinate basic IT troubleshooting Deliver high-quality customer service and resolve escalated issues Enforce loss prevention, safety, and compliance policies Analyze basic store performance reports to support decision-making Coordinate opening and closing procedures and store security Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven culture Required Skills Retail operations Point-of-sale systems Inventory management software Staff scheduling tools Cash handling and reconciliation Customer relationship management (CRM) Basic data analysis/reporting Loss prevention procedures MS Office or Google Workspace Basic IT troubleshooting
