An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

As an Entry Level Assistant Manager, you'll assist with team coordination, help resolve field challenges, and contribute to delivering the high level of customer service and performance our organization is known for. As an Entry Level Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the sales team to strengthen daily performance, provide coaching and support, and help create a positive customer experience from the initial conversation through enrollment and service activation. The Entry Level Assistant Manager will also help maintain communication between customers, field teams, and internal departments to ensure operations remain organized, efficient, and focused on long-term customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities of the Entry Level Assistant Manager Monitor customer interactions and assist customers throughout the enrollment, account setup, and activation process Maintain accurate CRM records by documenting customer information, team activity, and progress throughout the customer journey Support daily team operations by coordinating outreach schedules, organizing activities, and keeping teams aligned with campaign goals Assist with onboarding and developing new team members through mentorship, coaching, feedback, and hands-on support Review performance data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and help strengthen outreach strategies Collaborate with other Entry Level Assistant Managers and team leaders to address challenges, improve workflows, and maintain consistent performance Help foster a professional, supportive team environment focused on customer satisfaction and achieving daily goals Education & Experience for the Entry Level Assistant Manager High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in customer service, retail, sales, outreach, or other customer-facing environments is a plus Experience with scheduling, team coordination, or informal leadership is helpful but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with a team Motivated, dependable, and willing to learn new processes and responsibilities Preferred Skills for the Entry Level Assistant Manager Strong leadership potential and a proactive approach to supporting team members Confident verbal and written communication skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to maintain accurate CRM documentation and follow established processes Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Positive attitude with a strong desire to grow professionally
