Full Job Description Role Overview:
The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This temporary role prepares candidates for future Store Manager positions by fostering leadership development and operational expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training team members. Participate in merchandising, stocking, and store presentation according to company standards. Manage inventory activities, including damages, markdowns, and stock audits. Ensure product availability through proper ordering practices. Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example. Support store opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security measures. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment for customers and staff. Review financials, sales trends, and expenses to identify improvement opportunities. Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to interpret operational documents and perform mathematical calculations. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Problem-solving ability and adaptability to varied situations.
Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish; high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience.
Physical & Work Environment:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Use of equipment such as scanners, carts, and ladders. Fast-paced setting with moderate noise; occasional outdoor exposure. Some travel required with limited overnight stays.
