Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.

Job Description
THIS IS A CLOSING / NIGHT TIME POSITION
Responsibilities include but are no limited to: Overseeing and supporting department managers Assisting with daily operations Invoicing and data entry Ensure all daily essential tasks are being performed, Stocking, Facing, Cleaning etc Guide staffs priorities (decide on priorities or determines if store / department managers have already done so) Delegate tasks to staff for maximum productivity based on store needs and department / store manager requests Manage and cover employee breaks for optimal workflow Train new staff when needed Hold staff accountable to company standards for customer service and quality of work Act as manager on duty whenever working unless otherwise directed by store manager Back up and assist staff throughout MOD shifts Answer and Route phone calls while working as MOD Assist store / department managers with their responsibilities when needed / requested Receiving, stocking, ordering and performing inventory checks Reports / discuss staff's quality of work and progress with owner / store manager when needed Ensure all staff are punching out for breaks and following all company general rules Discipline / inform staff when they are not adhering to company general rules Customer Service Ensure prompt, friendly, helpful customer service and address customer concerns when necessary Monitor staff for quality of customer service and train or engage when necessary Properly train staff on customer service and how / when to determine when to get a manager for support. All staff should be trained not to leave their area unattended to properly support customers need, specifically, juice bar, deli and wellness All staff should have a general understanding of the products, mission and quality of our store / offerings. Document or inform owner / store manager when there is a serious customer service issue Assist customers in all departments, in prompt friendly courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary. Closing down, Cleaning up and Locking up store at the end of the day. Merchandising Design and merchandise all specific assigned areas of the store that have rotating displays Work with purchasing or department managers to execute 3 monthly rotating grocery end caps Ensure all shelves are well merchandised and faced on a daily basis Ensure all products have appropriate shelf and sale tags Take lead on getting up all new tags and sale tags Provide merchandising feed back or ideas to department managers and purchasing manager Merchandise all new items into appropriate categories Perform category resets when necessary Additional qualities and attributes that we are looking for in an individual include: Understanding of Natural and Organic industry At least 2 years supervisory experience- hiring, evaluating and initiating / documenting disciplinary procedures with employees. Strong customer service background.Computer skills:
spreadsheet, word processing and internet. Ability to use Chef-Tek , or other similar software. Ability to read department financial reports. Ability to operate professional kitchen equipment. Regular, consistent attendance Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job Well organized and pays attention to detail Easy to communicate with, leads by example and gives clear direction Upbeat and positive attitude Hard working and reliable Provides excellent customer service Works well with others and is a team leader Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors Attend management team meetings and storewide meetings. Monitor emails and respond daily Utilize Asana app to organize daily tasks and manage accountability Works in compliance with, and ensures compliance of, established procedure including Weight and measures, the health department and safe work practicesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
Physical Must be able to lift 50 pounds Standing / walking 6-8 hours a day Movement requirements may include: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays as needed Use of ladders Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, juicer, blender and other heavy machineryMental and Psychological Demands Comprehension:

Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand instructions for equipment operations, policies and procedures, other written job-related documents including company postings. Ability to compose and write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, including effective departmental memos, disciplinary notes / documents etc… Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.Decision Making:
