Role Overview:

This position involves managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, merchandise presentation, and customer service to ensure smooth store functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Manage store opening and closing procedures, staffing, and safety standards. Analyze operating statements to identify business trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage. Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and merchandise presentation following established guidelines. Maintain accurate inventory and financial integrity through cash handling, security, and accountability protocols. Lead customer service initiatives and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment. Ensure compliance with policies, complete required documentation, and facilitate effective communication within the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and manage cash handling procedures. Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Prior management experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended. Additional skills include recruitment, coaching, and legal compliance understanding.

Physical & Work Environment:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional climbing are required. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise, and may include exposure to outside weather conditions.
