Goblin Market is seeking an Art Department Manager to work with commissioned artists to produce posters, graphics and other art for the monthly market and all associated events. They will also bring their own graphic design and illustrative expertise to the table to adjust and perfect designs as needed.

The Art Department Manager will:

Work with artists to produce Goblin Market posters and other designs from the brainstorming phase all the way to printing Be familiar with local artists and their unique styles, and be able to recommend and approach these artists according to the needs of the design to be produced Manage a schedule of tight art delivery and printing deadlines Plan art that will be featured months into the future Work with different members of the Goblin Market team to ensure designs contain all necessary information and visual assets, such as sponsor logos, activity schedules, partner social media handles, etc. Bring their own artistic and graphic design knowledge to create and edit design assets as needed Work within allocated budgets for art production The ideal candidate will: Have experience managing artists to execute a design from sketch to final export Have experience managing team members and contractors to accomplish multiple ongoing projects simultaneously Be comfortable working on tight deadlines (and holding others to them as well) Have a keen eye for good design and color theory Have skill as an illustrator and graphic designer Understand design terminology such as white space, cut lines, bleed, etc to ensure the design can move from screen to print smoothly Be able to provide critique and feedback to artists professionally Understand the visual identity of Goblin Market and its associated events and be excited to add to its visual brand story

Pay:
