We're looking for a Retail Store Manager who can lead the business, develop a strong team, deliver sales results, and make Lila a trusted destination for families in our community. Who You Are You're a hands-on retail leader who balances people, performance, and operational excellence. You know how to build a high-performing team, create a memorable customer experience, and use sales and operational data to make smart decisions. You're energized by being part of the local community and are comfortable building partnerships, creating events, and finding new ways to drive traffic and sales. You lead with warmth, accountability, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership. What You'll Do Sales Leadership & Customer Experience (30%) Own store sales performance and consistently work toward revenue, conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction, and other established KPIs. Create and execute daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans based on business trends, traffic, product performance, and company priorities. Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering personalized service and coaching the team to confidently educate customers and close sales. Ensure every customer receives a welcoming, supportive, and brand-aligned experience. Review store performance, identify opportunities, and communicate results, risks, and action plans to leadership. Resolve escalated customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach. Team Leadership & Talent Development (25%) Recruit, interview, onboard, train, schedule, coach, and develop store associates based on business needs. Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback, recognition, and performance coaching. Build product knowledge and selling capability through ongoing training, role-play, and floor coaching. Create an accountable, collaborative culture focused on customer experience, sales performance, and teamwork. Manage attendance, timekeeping, schedule coverage, and day-to-day employee concerns in partnership with leadership. Ensure appropriate staffing levels while managing payroll hours responsibly. Store Operations, Inventory & Merchandising (25%) Oversee all opening and closing procedures, cash handling, deposits, POS accuracy, store security, and daily operational standards. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and visually compelling store that consistently reflects Lila brand standards. Own inventory accuracy through receiving, replenishment, cycle counts, return processing, stock organization, and discrepancy follow-up. Execute visual merchandising, product launches, promotions, signage, floor sets, and seasonal updates. Monitor product selling trends and communicate inventory needs, customer feedback, and assortment opportunities to leadership. Maintain store supplies, equipment, and facilities and coordinate repairs or service needs when required. Follow and reinforce loss-prevention, safety, and company policies and procedures. Community Outreach, Events & Local Sales Growth (20%) Develop and execute a local outreach strategy to increase brand awareness, store traffic, customer acquisition, and sales. Build relationships with hospitals, OB/GYN offices, birthing centers, doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, prenatal educators, parenting groups, photographers, and other relevant community partners. Plan and host in-store events, educational classes, shopping events, partner activations, pop-ups, and other community experiences that generate traffic and deepen customer relationships. Identify local partnership, referral, cross-promotion, and event opportunities that align with the Lila brand. Create an outreach calendar and track event participation, leads, traffic, sales, and follow-up opportunities to evaluate effectiveness. Represent Lila professionally at community events and build a strong local network of brand advocates and referral partners. Partner with company leadership on local marketing opportunities, promotions, and store-specific initiatives. What You Bring 2+ years of retail leadership experience preferred, including responsibility for sales, people, and store operations. Proven ability to lead a team, coach performance, and achieve sales goals and KPIs. Strong business acumen with comfort reviewing sales trends, staffing needs, payroll, inventory, and operational performance. Excellent communication, relationship-building, organization, and problem-solving skills. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create local partnerships and community events that drive measurable business results. Strong visual merchandising and brand presentation skills. Comfort using retail technology and learning new systems; Shopify POS experience is a plus. Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings for events. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Schedule & Compensation This is a full-time, in-person leadership position. The Store Manager must maintain flexible availability based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings for store events. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Work Location 300 Indian Lake Blvd. Suite D-160 Hendersonville, TN 37075 This position is performed in person at our retail boutique. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
