Key duties include hiring/training staff, inventory management, budgeting, and maintaining store merchandising standards. Candidates typically need a high school diploma or degree, 2-3 years of retail experience, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities Personnel Management :
Recruiting, training, scheduling, and motivating employees to achieve sales targets.
Operations & Compliance :
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, opening/closing procedures, and store cleanliness.
Sales & Financials :
Analyzing sales data, managing budgets, controlling inventory levels, and implementing promotional strategies.
Customer Service :
Handling customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience.
Merchandising :
Overseeing product displays and visual merchandising to maximize sales.
Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:
2-3+ years in retail, with previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is often preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software.
Flexibility:
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
