Overview Gift Shop Coordinator, Volunteer Services Full Time, 80
Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift LeConte Medical Center Overview:

Position Summary:
The Coordinator of the Gift Shop has the overall responsibility, authority and accountability for successfully managing a profitable business. Responsibilities Directs successful retail management operations of the Gift Shop, performs detailed inventories, reviews merchandise trends, develops inventory accordingly and directs financial management. Manages Gift Shop staff and volunteers, evaluates employee's performance, interviews, hires and schedules employees, provides employee development, and delegates responsibility to staff and volunteers. Prepares and maintains current reports including productivity, daily sales, sales, tax, deposits, returned checks, and accounts payable. Develops and executes promotional calendar for seasonal sales and holiday events. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of retail management, buying, and supervision experience.
