Job Overview The Liquor Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an establishment that sells alcoholic beverages. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and maintaining the overall quality and efficiency of the establishment. This role demands a dynamic individual who can handle multiple tasks ranging from inventory control to customer engagement, all while creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Liquor Store Manager Responsibilities & Duties Supervise and manage the daily operations of the establishment Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol Hire, train, and mentor staff members Develop and implement standard operating procedures Handle customer inquiries and complaints efficiently Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries Plan and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain customers Monitor financial performance and prepare budget reports Ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and patrons Schedule staff shifts. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss operational updates and goals Organize special events and promotions Monitor and adhere to health and safety guidelines Liquor Store Manager Qualifications & Skills Prefer previous experience in a managerial role within the retail area. Prefer a strong understanding of local, state, and federal alcohol regulations or willing to learn. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to manage and motivate a team Prefer proficiency in inventory management software Prefer experience in financial budgeting and reporting Customer service-oriented mindset Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends Strong problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Prefer a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role. Knowledge of alcohol laws and regulations Prefer proficiency point-of-sales (POS) systems Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds Strong leadership capabilities Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment Proven track record of maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment Valid alcohol server certification - can be obtained during training Join us as a Liquor Store Manager where your leadership fuels our success!
