This role serves as a leadership presence on the floor and helps bridge communication between management and team members. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes full responsibility for running the store and is authorized to make operational decisions to ensure smooth daily operations. Core Responsibilities Daily Operations Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily salon operations Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately Monitor cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards Assist with supply management and inventory control Maintain efficient service flow and scheduling Acting Store Manager Responsibilities When the Store Manager is absent, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for: Overseeing the full operation of the store Making day to day operational decisions Managing team performance and accountability Addressing client concerns and service recovery Ensuring compliance with company policies and sanitation standards Communicating significant issues to leadership Team Leadership Support Reinforce service protocols and brand standards Support onboarding and training of new team members Provide real time coaching when standards are not met Help maintain team morale and collaboration Address minor team concerns before escalation Client Experience Ensure clients are greeted and cared for according to brand standards Handle client concerns professionally and promptly Support service recovery efforts when necessary Monitor client satisfaction and communicate trends to management Administrative Support Assist with scheduling coordination Support payroll accuracy by reviewing timekeeping when assigned Help track key performance indicators as directed Communicate operational updates to the Store Manager Performance Expectations The Assistant Store Manager is evaluated on: Operational consistency Ability to lead effectively when acting as Store Manager Team accountability and coaching effectiveness Client satisfaction Employee retention Cleanliness and sanitation compliance Professional communication and reliability
