This role assists with associate leadership, production execution, and department readiness while supporting the Bakery Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily bakery production, packaging, and merchandising activities Ensure proper rotation, dating, labeling, and freshness standards Support ordering, inventory control, and shrink reduction efforts Maintain full, attractive displays and service cases throughout the day Assist with execution of promotions, seasonal programs, and special orders Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, and temperature standards Leadership & Team Support Train, coach, and support Bakery associates in procedures and service expectations Help assign daily workloads and monitor productivity and quality Lead by example with professionalism, safety, and customer engagement Support attendance management and performance feedback Assume department leadership responsibilities in the Bakery Manager's absence Customer Service Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable service Address customer questions, requests, and concerns professionally Promote bakery items, programs, and custom order services Operational & Safety Standards Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness Ensure proper handling of ingredients, supplies, and finished products Comply with all company policies, labor guidelines, and safety procedures Assist with inspection readiness and corrective actions when needed Qualifications Previous bakery, food service, or retail experience preferred Supervisory or lead experience a plus Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive production tasks Working Conditions Bakery production environment with exposure to ovens, heat, and cold storage Fast‑paced, hands‑on role requiring extended standing and physical activity
Pay Transparency:
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay
