If you have retail sales experience with companies such as T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, or Verizon but are tired of waiting a month for your commissions, dealing with six-month chargebacks and planogram changes, or working Sundays, then give us an opportunity to show you how this industry is different. If you have optical sales experience but are looking for an environment that appreciates your sales focus and experience, then let's talk. Optical experience is a plus but is not required. We are willing to train sales-minded individuals who bring retail management experience and a strong drive to succeed. The main purpose of the Sales Manager is to effectively partner with the General Manager and frequently serve as the Manager on Duty in the General Manager's absence. In addition, Sales Managers partner with Lead Patient Coordinators to ensure the efficient operation of all areas of the business. Through this partnership, all three members of the management team work to ensure alignment and consistency in team performance, execution, revenue generation, customer service, and compliance with Company processes and procedures. Sales Managers, along with General Managers, lead by example in revenue generation and exceeding goals through consistent execution of the sales process. They also ensure patients receive the best possible service experience throughout their journey by making sure they are greeted, acknowledged, and assisted as soon as they enter the store and remain engaged throughout the examination and sales process. Sales Managers provide patients with the information necessary to select eyewear options that fit both their lifestyle and budget, including available promotions and financing alternatives designed to meet their needs. Sales Managers are a key component of store success through strong leadership, partnership, communication, and execution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Generate revenue by consistently following the sales process, identifying the best eyewear options for each patient's needs, and presenting available promotions and financing options. Maintain a customer-service-oriented mindset to prevent dissatisfaction and lost sales. Support the General Manager by monitoring both personal and team execution of key performance indicators and commissionable categories on a daily basis to ensure goals are met and exceeded. Address and resolve customer service complaints, product quality concerns, and refund or cancellation requests in a timely manner when the General Manager is unavailable. Communicate and escalate resolutions to the General Manager as appropriate. Follow best practices to ensure order promise dates are achieved by managing lab reports and available resources, implementing appropriate quality-control measures throughout order processing, sending required frames to the lab in a timely manner, inspecting orders received from labs or contact lens suppliers, submitting orders for reprocessing when necessary, and proactively identifying potential delays so patient expectations can be properly managed. Analyze overall store and individual staff performance, identifying strengths to reinforce and opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies that help the team continuously improve execution and results. Engage and coach team members to understand how key performance indicators and commissionable categories are achieved or exceeded. Help employees understand their individual impact, establish performance goals, and take an active role in continuously improving store performance. Support the General Manager in conducting recurring role-play exercises to ensure the sales process is consistently and properly executed at all levels. Effectively communicate, partner, and align with the General Manager to ensure the store operates consistently and efficiently while adhering to brand standards and Company policies and procedures. Supervise dispensing best practices, including properly documenting each stage of the order journey in the POS system, troubleshooting concerns, and addressing customer issues in a timely manner. Support the General Manager in supervising and enforcing compliance with internal policies and procedures, including dress code, attendance, checklist compliance, store cleaning, and sanitizing best practices. Communicate with the COO or District Manager regarding Employee Relations concerns, customer service escalations requiring approval beyond the General Manager's usual scope of authority, facility and maintenance needs, and recurring supply replenishment orders.
