Full Job Description Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store employees, overseeing all store operations including staffing, inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure smooth daily functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain qualified staff, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Lead performance management, conduct regular communication on expectations, and support staff development. Manage store opening and closing procedures, ensuring proper staffing and operational efficiency. Analyze financial statements to identify business trends, control expenses, and minimize shrinkage. Oversee inventory management, ordering, stocking, and presentation to meet or exceed stock targets. Maintain accurate inventory levels, control damages, and ensure proper merchandise display. Enforce cash handling, security, and safety policies to safeguard assets and provide a secure shopping environment. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, complete documentation accurately, and facilitate effective communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with leadership capabilities. Experience in recruiting, hiring, counseling, and terminating staff in compliance with legal standards. Good organization, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.
Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Management experience in retail is advantageous.
Physical & Work Environment:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Use of equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts. Fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather conditions at times.
