$11.68 - $17.45 per hour (DOE)

Non-Exempt Job Summary Under the supervision of the Recreation Superintendent and/or Recreation Coordinator, the Site Supervisor manages referees, games and competitions. They explain and enforce rules, assess referees, maintain order at program facilities and time management. Duties/Responsibilities Attend all trainings and work all scheduled games. Responsible for referees to fill out time clock in and clock out sheet. Maintain control of leagues and represent Lindon Parks & Recreation in a positive manner. Enforce rules and safety precautions of the sport, facility and field. Assist participants, referees and respond to questions and concerns. Manage field set-up and clean-up. Check equipment prior to game, assure all referees are equip properly for participation. Maintain a safe and positive work environment. Notify Superintendent or Coordinator of problems and/or concerns regarding facilities, coaches, participants, equipment, coworkers and spectators. Required Skills/Abilities Strong background in the specific sport, referee or umpire experience preferred. Knowledge of designated sport and standard rules preferred. Knowledge of standard safety practices. Must be 16 years or older. High school senior or graduate preferred. Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, department personnel and the public. Ability to maintain control of referees, coaches and spectators in a courteous and tactful manner. Hiring Policy Lindon City Corporation in an Equal Opportunity Employer.
