Job Description

AETHER is a modern outdoor brand focused on performance, style, and sophistication. Born out of a desire for gear that's equally at home in the city and the wild, AETHER merges technical innovation with clean, minimalist design. Position Summary We're looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead our flagship Park City location. This individual will oversee daily operations, inspire the in-store team, and uphold AETHER's high standards of customer service, brand presentation, and financial performance. The ideal candidate combines a passion for retail and storytelling with sharp business acumen and strong leadership skills. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key figure in representing AETHER's brand in one of our most dynamic markets. Key Responsibilities Hire, train, and manage store staff; evaluate performance and foster a high-performance team culture Execute daily store operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, and inventory Maintain visual and operational standards in line with brand expectations Track and report on sales goals; adjust strategies to meet financial objectives Coordinate local events and seasonal activations, including motorcycle rides, book launches, and more Forecast product needs and submit seasonal buys based on deep knowledge of the local customer base Collaborate closely with HQ and PR teams on marketing efforts, community engagement, and in-store programming Manage store audits and ensure adherence to all brand policies and procedures Cultivate relationships with local businesses, including hotels and partners, to drive traffic and build community presence Source and share localized content and assist with visual merchandising updates Participate in seasonal line reviews and represent the Park City's store's voice in the buying process Research new opportunities for pop-ups and experiential activations in the Mountain West region and beyond Objectives Conduct twice-yearly visits to HQ to review seasonal collections with the design team Lead 4-8 community-focused in-store events per year Coordinate spring-through-summer motorcycle rides Conduct monthly audits across inventory, training, and store presentation Collaborate on localized visual displays and pop-up opportunities Requirements 4+ years in a retail management or equivalent leadership role Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience Strong understanding of fashion trends and premium/luxury retail Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills Highly organized, adaptable, and solutions-oriented Proficient in analyzing financial data and sales metrics Proven ability to lead teams and manage operations independently General interest or knowledge of the outdoors and adventure sports industry (e.g., skiing, motorcycling, hiking, etc.) Passion for providing outstanding customer experiences and cultivating community Benefits & Perks Competitive salary and performance incentives Generous employee discount Opportunities for travel, seasonal line previews, and industry networking A collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment rooted in creativity and adventure How to Apply If you're passionate about retail, love building community, and want to be part of a growing brand that bridges style and function, we'd love to hear from you.
