Shop Manager $58K - $69K per year

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy welding and fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily shop operations, production schedules, and project timelines. Plan, organize, and prioritize fabrication and welding workloads and maximize efficiency. Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met. Coordinate with customers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers regarding project requirements and delivery schedules. Manage shop inventory, materials, equipment, and tooling needs. Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project requirements. In addition, is responsible for:

Team Leadership Quality Control Safety & Compliance Customer & Business Support Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial operations. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience. Strong understanding of MIG, TIG, stick welding, fabrication processes, and structural steel work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications. Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and job tracking systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS welding certifications or related industry certifications. Experience managing custom fabrication or structural steel projects. Knowledge of estimating, bidding, and project costing. OSHA safety training or certification. Forklift, rigging, or equipment operation experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform inspections throughout the facility. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around welding equipment, overhead cranes, and industrial machinery.
