Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Curriculum Coordinator (CC) is the local Point of Contact (POC) for the on-site Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), the FRS Training Model Manager (TMM), Courseware Officers, and the Training Department at NAS Oceana. The CC shall assist in the measuring, monitoring, and assessing the progress of the work performed under the contract at NAS Oceana and be the local POC for matters related to Contractor performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

High School diploma required.

Training and Experience:

Experience working with Computers and interacting with customers in a team-oriented environment. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 1 desired by receiving at a minimum Comp TIA Network+ or A+ certification.

General Skills:

Must be able to handle multiple tasks, be a self-starter, flexible in work assignments, detail-oriented, highly organized, possess good interpersonal and written communication skills, and work under limited supervision.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Security Clearance:

Must possess and maintain a security clearance of "Secret."

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Learning Center Support 0700-1500 M-F.
  • Coordinate with the COR on contract related matters that directly affect curriculum production.
  • Coordinate with the FRS TMM, Courseware Office, and Training Department personnel.
  • Assist the FRS TMM with developing, incorporating and tracking updates and/or revisions to the Master Syllabus Guide (MSG).
  • Ensure distribution to and receipt of updated courseware by VFA-122.
  • Coordinate and chair meetings to support curriculum production efforts for
VFA-106 & VFA-122.
  • Ensure efficient assignment of Change Requests (CRs) action items to knowledgeable staff.
  • Receive and track all CRs.
  • Coordinate CR validation, completion and QA.
  • Incorporate simple (primarily textual) changes to courseware to decrease SME and/or Media Specialist (MS)/Graphics Specialist (GS) workload.
  • Provide validation tracker to the FRS TMM as requested.
  • Distribute and publish completed CRs.
  • Archive old courseware as directed by the FRS TMM.
  • Inform Courseware Officers and FRS TMM upon process completion.
  • Send, receive, process fleet squadron Commanding Officer and FRS Graduate Student Surveys.
  • Maintain liaison with Porgram Manager regarding site activities.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

None SALARY Hourly rate: $42.67 + $5.65 (Lead Incentive) = $48.32 plus $9.35 health and welfare
