An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Job Description
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service
- Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, credit, and other payments
- Prepare and fulfill DoorDash and other delivery orders
- Stock and restock coolers, shelves, displays, and other merchandise
- Receive and organize incoming inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store
- Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management
- Assist with opening and/or closing procedures
- Help ensure store policies and procedures are followed
- Assist with training and supporting other employees as needed
- Handle customer questions or concerns professionally
- Complete general cleaning and other tasks as needed during the shift Qualifications
- Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale/register system
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable standing and moving for extended periods
- Previous retail, convenience store, customer service, or supervisory experience is preferred What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it without needing constant direction.
