Duties Step into classrooms as a substitute teacher, delivering age-appropriate activities and maintaining classroom routines Supervise children during play, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance using positive reinforcement techniques Support teachers with lesson implementation, child supervision, and classroom organization Close the center at the end of the day by ensuring all children are safely picked up and classrooms are tidy Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates or concerns Follow mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with safety standards Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings preferred All three foundational childcare classes - and a Registry level 3 or higher Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies Certification in First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, CPR, or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm and professionalism Familiarity with child supervision best practices, behavior management, and caregiving techniques Join us if you're passionate about nurturing young minds!
