Join Our Team at LaClare Creamery! LaClare Creamery is seeking a self-driven and customer-focused Retail Manager to lead our retail store and seasonal greenhouse operations. This role is responsible for creating an excellent guest experience while overseeing daily operations, team performance, merchandising, events, and financial results.

8:00am to 5:00pm; must be willing to work every third weekend Why You'll Love This Role The Retail Manager leads all aspects of our retail operation, including team leadership, customer experience, merchandising, inventory management, events, and financial performance. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment that showcases the LaClare Creamery brand while driving sales and supporting business growth. What You'll Do Lead and develop the Retail team through hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, performance management, and employee engagement. Oversee day-to-day retail operations, ensuring excellent customer service, proper staffing, and a positive guest experience. Manage merchandising, procurement, inventory, product displays, and pricing to support sales and brand standards. Lead menu development and continuous improvements while supporting food preparation activities as needed. Coordinate tours, customer visits, and special events, including planning, execution, and financial performance tracking. Monitor sales trends, margins, and financial performance; make recommendations and adjustments to improve results. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the retail store, greenhouse, and visitor center facilities. Serve as a spokesperson for the Retail division and help promote the LaClare brand within the community. What We're Looking For Small retail store and/or kitchen management experience required. 1-3 years of leadership or management experience required. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems required. Positive, outgoing, and customer-focused personality with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of business financials, including sales, margins, and profitability. Detail-oriented, self-driven, and committed to maintaining high standards. Trustworthy, ethical, and professional in all interactions. ServSafe certification required or willingness to obtain certification. Why Join LaClare Creamery? Key Tasks & Responsibilities Leads and directs all Retail department staff including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, issue resolution and performance evaluation. Directs and supervises Retail employees engaged in counter service, kitchen, sanitation, administrative and customer interaction duties. Ensures coverage of all shifts. Provides customer service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to guest inquiries and complaints. Sets the tone for all guest interactions. Manages company merchandising including evaluating buying trends, procuring, inspecting merchandise to ensure that it is on brand and correctly priced and designing merchandise displays. Responsible for all Retail department procurement and inventory management. Ensures the cleanliness and organization of shelves, displays, and overall retail and garden center facility. Responsible for menu development and ongoing menu improvements. May include light food preparation. Manage tour and event scheduling and assist with key customer visits, tours and events. Leads event ideation, planning, implementation and financial performance tracking. Maintains the Visitor Center facility. Monitors sales activities to look for buying trends and margin performance. Tracks and evaluates financial performance and makes strategic adjustments based on financial results. Updates and manages the retail unit profit/loss reporting. Assists in developing marketing plans or strategies and acts as spokesperson for the Retail division. Implements all company policies, goals, objectives and procedures and assist in improving processes.
