Job Description

Job Summary The Retail & Operations Manager oversees daily retail and office operations while supporting the internal functions of purchasing, inventory management, sales order processing, warehouse coordination, and customer support. This role ensures the store is professionally managed, well‑stocked, and customer‑ready, while also serving as the primary operational support resource for sales representatives and vendor coordination. This position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience , a strong purchasing background , and proven retail management expertise . The ideal candidate is highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of independently running both the retail and operational sides of a small business. Responsibilities Sales Support & Order Processing Process customer sales orders accurately from entry through fulfillment. Create and manage purchase orders, sales orders, invoices, and related documentation. Provide sales representatives with product availability, pricing, supplier information, and inventory updates. Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers and sales reps. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and order timelines. Purchasing & Inventory Management Lead purchasing activities and place orders with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels. Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock. Conduct inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. Identify opportunities to improve inventory control, purchasing efficiency, and operational processes. Warehouse Operations & Logistics Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Operate forklift to unload, move, store, and organize inventory. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment. Accurately store incoming inventory and maintain warehouse organization. Prepare customer orders for shipment or local delivery. Coordinate outbound shipments with freight carriers and parcel delivery services. Prepare shipping documentation and ensure accurate order fulfillment. Assist with loading and unloading products as required. Maintain safe warehouse operating practices and procedures. General Operations Support daily administrative tasks and overall business operations. Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with sales and leadership. Perform other duties as needed to support the business. Required Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience in retail management, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or related business operations. Strong purchasing background with demonstrated vendor management and sourcing experience. Proven retail management experience with responsibility for store operations, merchandising, and customer service. Experience in a small business environment with broad responsibilities preferred. Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and order fulfillment. Proven reliability, attendance, and dependability. Forklift experience required; certification preferred or ability to obtain. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Proficiency with standard business software; QuickBooks experience preferred. High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to work in both retail showroom, office and warehouse environments.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
