Job Overview Versatility is one of the keys to being a successful Shift Supervisor . Your duties include partnering with team leaders to reinforce our corporate values, standards and management practices. Plus, you'll provide exceptional neighbor service by supporting operational policies and procedures. Last but not least, you'll oversee back-office operations and act as a manager when store leaders are offsite. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Supervisor to lead our retail team through busy hours, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. As a pivotal part of our management team, you will oversee sales activities, manage staff, and maintain operational excellence. Your leadership will inspire your team to meet and exceed sales goals while fostering a positive shopping environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with strong management skills to make a significant impact in a fast-paced retail setting. Duties Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies Feed and care for a variety of animals, maintaining proper habitat conditions. Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential Oversee cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and cashiering activities with accuracy and integrity Coordinate purchasing and procurement activities to ensure product availability while maintaining budget targets Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams and managing store operations Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping or payroll functions Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform retail math calculations efficiently Experience with merchandising, stock control, inventory management, and operational procedures in grocery or retail stores Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong time management skills coupled with managerial communication expertise to lead shift activities confidently Animal care experience is prefered Join us as a Shift Manager if you're passionate about animals and leading teams to success while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
