• $30-$36/hr upon confirmation, with step increases over the first year About Us Universal Electric Supply (UES) is an electrical distributor headquartered in San Francisco, serving the Bay Area for over 30 years.

We supply electrical materials, lighting fixtures, panels, and switchgear primarily to electrical contractors. We strive to have the widest inventory and depth of expertise for our customers. The Role We're looking for a sharp, motivated Management Assistant to support our San Francisco leadership team. This is a hands-on, learn-everything role for someone who is eager to grow in a fast-paced distribution environment. You'll work directly alongside management on a wide range of tasks — from lighting project coordination to purchasing and sales support — and over time, take increasing ownership of recurring responsibilities that currently sit with senior staff. The role starts with a deliberate onboarding period on the warehouse floor and sales counter. This isn't just orientation — it's how we evaluate whether someone has the grit and adaptability to thrive here. What You'll Do Lighting & Switchgear Projects Assist with preparation of lighting and switchgear quotes and specifications Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers on product availability, lead times, and pricing Support project follow-through from quote to delivery, communicating with customers and internal staff Develop working knowledge of our core lighting and switchgear product lines Sales Support Handle pricing and account questions escalated by counter staff Research and source special-order and hard-to-find items Assist the counter team with order writing and order fulfillment during busy periods Purchasing & Inventory Support inventory replenishment and purchasing under the direction of management Maintain item records in our system — pricing, vendor terms, and product notes Coordinate defective item claims and inventory returns with vendors Assist with evaluating new products: collecting requests, researching options, gathering samples What We're Looking For 2-4 years of work experience in any field; distribution, wholesale, or operations a plus but not required Solid computer skills. Excel skills a plus Strong written and verbal communication; responsible and good with follow up Willingness to work hands on Bilingual in English and Cantonese strongly preferred — a large portion of our team and customers are Cantonese-speaking Compensation & Structure 3-month trial period at $26/hr Upon successful completion of the trial period: $30-$36/hr, with step increases over the first year as you grow into the full role Full-time, in-person,
