Here's what that looks like in real numbers: our agents average $38 per hour of field time. Six-hour days. Monday through Friday. No weekends, no holidays and you're paid every week. That's roughly $1,100+ a week for a 30-hour field schedule — with no ceiling on top of it. The strongest closers on our team don't hit a cap, because there isn't one. This is commission-only. We're upfront about that, and we're upfront about why: hourly pay would cost you money. A $20/hour job pays you $600 for the same week we're paying $1,100+ for. We'd rather pay you what you produce than pay you to show up. If you can hold a conversation, handle a "no," and come back tomorrow — we'll teach you the rest.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work assigned Chicago-area residential territories through direct, face-to-face customer engagement Present and sell fiber internet and home services to homeowners and residents Build rapport fast and guide customers from first conversation to confirmed enrollment Handle objections professionally, communicate value clearly, and close with confidence Submit accurate, complete orders on every sale so the customer's install goes smooth Hit or beat weekly sales targets and report your production accurately Represent the UMH Networks brand at a high standard in every single interaction Work with your Field Leader to sharpen your approach, your pitch, and your close rate
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You can start a conversation with a stranger. That's the one thing we can't teach. Everything else, we can. You're self-motivated. Nobody's going to babysit your schedule. You'll own your day and your numbers. You're coachable. The reps who earn the most here are the ones who take the feedback and run with it. Reliable transportation and the physical ability to work outdoor field territories across the Chicago area Attention to detail — accurate orders protect your customer and your commission You're comfortable being paid for performance. You earn what you produce. If that excites you instead of scaring you, you'll do well here. Availability for a consistent full-time field schedule Experience is a plus, not a requirement. Outside sales, direct sales, retail, restaurant, call center, collections, recruiting — if you've persuaded people for a living, you already have the instinct. We train the right people from the ground up.
COMPENSATION
Commission-only, paid weekly Average agent earnings: approximately $38 per hour of field time Typical week: 30 field hours, Monday-Friday No cap on earnings Advancement to Field Leader available based on production and leadership Earnings figures represent average per-hour production for active agents based on UMH Networks' current campaign compensation and typical field activity. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Actual earnings vary based on individual production, install completion, and campaign performance. UMH Networks does not guarantee any specific level of income.
