Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support business development and client onboarding activities in Washington for an insurance brokerage firm for employee benefits. This role blends sales support, market research, proposal preparation, and implementation coordination to help new clients move smoothly from evaluation to enrollment. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working closely with clients, carriers, and internal partners.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze benefit market options for prospective groups by reviewing employee benefit plan designs, rates, and competitive positioning to support informed recommendations.
- Partner with employee benefits insurance carriers and general agencies to gather quotations, coverage details, and documentation needed for new business opportunities.
- Create effective proposal packages and presentation materials that help the sales team communicate solutions clearly to prospective clients.
- Oversee several active opportunities at once, monitoring timelines, follow-ups, and next steps to keep projects moving on schedule.
- Provide regular updates to sales team members regarding proposal status, outstanding items, and implementation progress.
- Lead implementation tasks for new clients, coordinating each step required for a smooth transition from signed agreement to active coverage.
- Maintain precise client records in Salesforce and related systems to support reliable reporting and accurate account setup.
- Organize onboarding activities by preparing benefits communication materials, configuring Employee Navigator, and arranging client training sessions.
- Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure enrollment and onboarding milestones are completed accurately and on time.
