About the Role We are seeking a Sales Engineer to help grow our industrial sensing and monitoring business, with primary responsibility for our rapidly expanding wireless LoRaWAN® product line. While the primary focus will be wireless solutions, this role will also support our established portfolio of industrial instrumentation products. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that combines technical expertise with sales execution. You will work directly with customers to understand applications, provide solutions, and help drive revenue growth across both new and existing accounts. This role is primarily inside sales, with occasional travel (<10%) for customer visits and trade shows. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Development Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional products and applications. Respond to inbound inquiries and develop new opportunities Follow up on quotes and leads to drive conversion Conduct customer discovery to understand applications and recommend solutions Support account growth through ongoing customer engagement Customer Solutions Provide application-level technical support for wireless (LoRaWAN) and legacy sensor products Deliver product demonstrations via Teams and other remote platforms Assist customers with system configuration, commissioning, and application support. Sales Operations Prepare and manage quotes Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment Product & System Support Configure and provision wireless sensors, gateways, and cloud platform accounts for customer deployments Support customer onboarding for wireless solutions Sales & Marketing Support Represent Sensocon at trade shows and customer events Assist with development and maintenance of product documentation (datasheets, manuals, application notes) Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity in Salesforce Qualifications We're looking for an engineer who enjoys working with customers as much as solving technical problems 3-7+ years in technical sales, sales engineering, or applications engineering Bachelor's degree in engineering Experience with industrial products (sensors, instrumentation, controls, or similar) Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Comfortable working directly with customers in a sales-oriented role Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
