Overview Under the general supervision of the Manager, Customization & Modification Engineer, this position served as the Technical Lead for RFQ feasibility analysis, machine customization, technical configuration, and application review activities. The role works closely with Sales, Application Engineering, internal modification teams, and factory technical personnel in Japan and Germany to define practical machine solutions that meet customer requirements. This position supports RFW feasibility review and configuration development for both Japan-built and Germany-built machines, and contributes to improved quotation quality, technical consistency, and internal coordination. Core functions Provides technical guidance and engineering support for injection molding machine quote processing, application review, and machine customization/modification activities. Works with Sales and customers to understand application needs and define appropriate machine configurations and related equipment requirements. Collaborates with Application Engineering to review molding applications and support technical solution development. Manages and maintains engineering automation tools to support Processing technical recommendations and ensure data accuracy across departments Coordinates with factory technical personnel in Japan and Germany to establish technical solutions for special options and machine requirements. Provides RFQ feasibility analysis, prioritization, and technical guidance for both Japan-built and Germany-built machine platforms. Supports internal modification teams with technical review and coordination for stock-machine and BTO machine requirements prior to delivery. Provides analysis and technical recommendations to support future stock-machine planning and quotation efficiency. Contributes to improvement of policies, procedures, and related documentation for Machine Sales and Engineering. Holds accountability for the creation of Machine Specification Check Sheets and Modification Check Sheet/Work Sheets to ensure machine configuration accuracy. Supports cross-functional communication among Sales, Application Engineering, Engineering, and factory teams to improve responsiveness and accuracy. Key Accountabilities Timely and technically accurate machine configurations that meets customer specifications.
