("Heron Tech") is searching for a highly motivated and ambitious Joining Specialist to join our growing operations in North America. The person who will fill this position will support Heron Tech's engineering and sales departments while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to advanced metal joining technologies, industrial equipment, and customer applications. This role is learning-focused and supervised, with training provided throughout employment. Main Duties

• Support Sales and Engineering departments in customer demonstrations, testing, and other customer-facing activities related to Heron's joining equipment (riveting, welding, and clinching systems).
• Assist with machine setup, basic troubleshooting, and observation of equipment installations and service activities.
• Participate in demonstrations and testing activities in Heron's Solutions Lab / Heron's Center of Excellence to learn how joining solutions are evaluated and presented to customers.
• Assist in preparing technical materials, presentations, and documentation for sales and training purposes.
• Service visits, trade shows, or customer meetings when appropriate to gain industry exposure.
• Help organize and maintain basic records related to projects, testing, or customer interactions.
• Learn about various metal materials and joining methods, including steel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and high-strength steels.
• Collaborate with team members across Sales, Engineering, and Operations to support ongoing projects.
• Perform additional duties consistent with sales and engineering objectives of the company. Skills and Qualifications
• Chinese Bilingual
• Strong interest in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial technology.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or welding concepts gained through coursework, labs and work experience.
• Willingness to learn about industrial equipment, automation, and joining processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal settings.
• Comfortable use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to use CAD, other related engineering software preferred.
• Organized, dependable, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work collaboratively with a team.
• Interest in technical sales, applications engineering, or field service is a plus. Education and Experience Requirements Currently completing / completed a bachelor's degree or associate degree in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Welding Engineering / Welding Technology
• Electrical Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Industrial Technology
• or a related technical discipline.
• Sales and Engineering experience preferred

Employment Terms Expected Schedule:

Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
