Job Description
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Mentoring of otherProduct Support Personnel Purpose:
Provide design engineering support to the customer and internal/external production facilities on current product, and manage the generation and implementation of cost reductions and product enhancements. Duties are performed with minimal supervision and frequently involve conferences of planning, scheduling, progress reporting, and project management.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
- Initiates, reviews, and approves ECO's.
- Reviews and approves or rejects deviations and ECR's.
- Supervises assigned MCI/PE projects.
- Provides design engineering support to Product Support Team.
- Recognizes and anticipates resource problems and resolves them accordingly, delegating tasks to appropriate resources, and ensures implementation of new products and processes are completed in a timely and error-free manner.
- Works with New Product Development group and Manufacturing Engineering to introduce new products and processes to the production floor.
- Assists in analyzing and diagnosing manufacturing/production problems and potential design related problems and assures that corrective action is taken.
- Makes recommendations for product improvements and cost reductions.
- Assists in the development of new methods, designs, and procedures to reduce current product cost and increase throughput.
- Prepares cost estimates based on supplier quotes.
- Determines product test requirements and criteria to validate parts and procedures; works with Testing group to design experiments for exploration.
- Schedules special orders and monitors their progress through the system to include making of prototype parts and assemblies, validation testing, final packaging, and shipping of prototypes.
- Issues PO requests for prototype parts and capital expenditures (tooling, material supplies, etc.).
- Schedules and supervises activities for assigned engineered products to ensure timelines are met.
- Maintains open and efficient lines of communication with Manufacturing (internal & external), Sales, and customers.
- Monitors warranty claims for assigned products and identifies potential/probable design and/or manufacturing issues and assures corrective action is taken.
- Maintains organization and documentation and ensures that proper procedures are followed.
- Aids in the training and mentoring of Product Support Personnel.
- Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on
TEAM QMS
objectives.- Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Product Support Engineer I:
Transforms sound engineering principles and judgement into creative designs utilizing knowledge gained through education and guidance from mentors. May assist in tasks related to larger overall project or be asked to lead a project of the appropriate complexity. May participate in internal design reviews and observe external design reviews. Works closely with mentors and experienced staff.Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to use a wide range of computer software including but not limited to:
CREO, CREO
Simulate, Matlab, Epicor, and Microsoft Products..- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and analyze several abstract and concrete variables.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Training:
- Test Vehicle Operator Safety Training
- Reference OJT Physical Demands
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
