Job Description

Account Manager - Industrial Equipment & Solutions Atlantic Installation Company is looking for a driven Account Manager to develop new customer relationships and grow existing accounts throughout our service region. This is a B2B sales position for someone who already understands the fundamentals of professional selling and is ready for an opportunity with greater autonomy, technical depth, and earning potential. We are not looking for someone who needs to be taught how to prospect, manage a sales pipeline, follow up with customers, or ask for business. We are looking for someone who has developed those skills and now wants to apply them to a broad portfolio of industrial products, services, and solutions. Industry experience is valuable, but it is not required. We can teach you material handling, industrial equipment, warehouse systems, automotive shop equipment, and our applications. We are more interested in finding someone who knows how to sell, wants to learn, and is motivated to build a substantial book of business. About the Opportunity Atlantic Installation works with warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturers, automotive facilities, fleet maintenance operations, municipalities, transit operations, and other commercial and industrial customers. Unlike a sales position focused on a single product, our Account Managers can develop opportunities across a broad range of solutions, including: Pallet rack and warehouse storage systems Shelving and modular storage Conveyor and material handling systems Mezzanines and work platforms Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs) Automotive lifts and shop equipment Fleet maintenance equipment Loading dock equipment Overhead and high-speed doors Industrial equipment service and preventative maintenance Equipment repairs, retrofits, relocations, and upgrades Turnkey installation and maintenance services A single customer relationship can create opportunities across multiple product and service categories. The Account Manager's job is to understand the customer's operation, identify problems and opportunities, connect those needs with Atlantic Installation's capabilities, and maintain the commercial relationship over the long term. Key Responsibilities Develop new B2B customer relationships through prospecting, networking, referrals, research, cold outreach, site visits, and industry relationships Build and maintain an active sales pipeline Develop relationships with facility managers, operations leaders, maintenance managers, engineers, purchasing personnel, business owners, and other decision-makers Visit customer facilities to understand their operations, equipment, challenges, and future plans Identify opportunities for equipment sales, service, repairs, upgrades, and capital projects Develop existing accounts by introducing additional Atlantic Installation products and services Maintain ownership of the customer relationship throughout the sales and project lifecycle Qualify opportunities before committing estimating and engineering resources Work closely with internal estimating, design, project management, installation, and service personnel Coordinate with manufacturers and vendor partners to develop solutions Prepare and present proposals with support from estimating and technical personnel Follow up consistently on open proposals and opportunities Negotiate and close business Maintain accurate customer, contact, opportunity, activity, and pipeline information within our CRM Develop account plans for high-value customers Identify opportunities for recurring service and preventative maintenance relationships Attend manufacturer training, trade events, networking opportunities, and customer meetings Continuously develop technical knowledge of Atlantic Installation's products and services What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who already understands that successful B2B sales requires consistent activity, follow-up, relationship development, and persistence. The ideal candidate knows how to: Prospect for new business Start conversations with new customers Identify and reach decision-makers Qualify opportunities Ask good questions and listen to customers Maintain an organized pipeline Follow up consistently Develop long-term relationships Present solutions professionally Negotiate and ask for the order Handle rejection without losing momentum You do not need to arrive knowing every piece of equipment we sell. You do need to arrive wanting to learn. Preferred Experience 2+ years of B2B sales, account management, territory sales, business development, or comparable experience Demonstrated experience developing new business rather than exclusively servicing established accounts Experience selling products, equipment, services, projects, or technical solutions to businesses Experience with industrial, construction, material handling, automotive, fleet, manufacturing, warehouse, facility, or related markets is highly desirable Experience managing a CRM and sales pipeline Comfortable communicating with both executives and field-level personnel Strong written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license and willingness to regularly visit customers and prospects A college degree is welcome but is not required for a candidate with demonstrated sales ability. Relevant industry relationships are valuable, but sales ability, curiosity, work ethic, and willingness to learn are more important. You will have direct access to company leadership, technical personnel, manufacturers, installers, project managers, and customers. You will have the opportunity to learn how projects are designed, estimated, sold, installed, serviced, and ultimately made profitable.
