Job Description
Techman Sales Inc. is seeking candidates, with a technical background, for Sales Engineering and/or Account Management. Techman Sales Inc. is a global business development organization focused on providing engineered solutions in the following industries: Automotive, Major Appliance, Industrial and Heavy Truck Industries. We are seeking a self-motivated and technically proficient Business Development Engineer to join our team in Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth at key target customers, leading to long-term, high value relationships. The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree and have an interest in selling and/or program management of engineered components. This candidate must be self motivated while working with a team of highly motivated individuals in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have an interest in developing and executing a sales and business development strategy across multiple manufacturing processes and specifically engineered products. Duties and Responsibilities The main responsibility of the Technical Sales Engineer position is to proactively drive program development and the sale of our "Principals'" products into custom applications at targeted customers. This is not a sale of "catalogue" products. Requirements Undergraduate Degree in engineering. Sales and/or Program Management experience in the Major Appliance, Automotive, Industrial, or Heavy Truck Industries required, wire harness experience a plus. Candidate needs to have the ability and desire to travel and interact across multiple cultures. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment, gained through work experience in one of these industries is required: castings, molding, wire harness assembly, tooling and machining. Ability to understand new product qualification, program management, APQP, PPAP and other processes required to launch new products is a requirement.
