Job Description

Overview:
Cleveland City Forge is searching for a Sales Engineer . We are a structural and lifting industrial hardware company serving many different and interesting markets including infrastructure (bridges, tunnels), sports arenas and stadiums, nuclear power plants, steam generation plants, buildings of all shapes and sizes as well as mining and crane/rigging equipment.
Duties:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, quotes, and bids
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and offer appropriate technical solutions
  • Provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales activities
  • Control, create and update our drawing library
  • Create new part numbers including
BOMs and Routers Skills:
  • Working knowledge of ERP (EPICOR Kinetic) systems
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Working knowledge of CAD system, SolidWorks, desirable
  • Prior experience in pre-sales activities is beneficial The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering, be skilled in reading blueprints/drawings/sketches and creating the like using SolidWorks and have extensive knowledge in the use of MS Excel.
Knowledge of standard costing practice is desired however, not required. Duties will consist of but not be limited to job costing, maintaining part drawings, creating part numbers, assisting customers in design and testing.
