Full Job Description Description:
Aberdeen Dynamics, a leader in motion and control technologies, is seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to expand sales of fluid power components, fluid conveyance products, industrial seals, and hydraulic systems, including Hydraulic Power Units. This role blends technical knowledge with consultative sales ability to deliver practical, engineered solutions to OEMs, end users, industrial contractors, maintenance teams, and engineering contacts across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will be technically curious, commercially driven, and comfortable working with customers in the field to understand applications, solve problems, and grow long-term business relationships. While an engineering or technical degree is preferred, Aberdeen also values hands-on industry experience, product knowledge, and a proven ability to sell technical solutions in industrial environments.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned El Paso territory. Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring long-term satisfaction, retention, and account development. Provide technical consultation on fluid power systems, hose and fittings, seals, and hydraulic equipment, including product selection, application troubleshooting, and system integration. Collaborate with Aberdeen engineering, operations, and project teams to develop solutions tailored to customer requirements. Conduct on-site visits, deliver technical presentations, and participate in product demonstrations. Prepare and negotiate proposals, pricing, and commercial terms. Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, customer notes, and CRM updates. Identify opportunities to cross-sell Aberdeen's broader product offering, including hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid conveyance, sealing products, engineered systems, and related industrial technologies. Represent Aberdeen Dynamics professionally at customer meetings, supplier events, trade shows, and industry functions. Qualifications 5+ years of proven outside sales experience in fluid power, hose and fittings, hydraulics, sealing solutions, industrial distribution, MRO products, OEM sales, or related technical industrial products. Technical understanding of hydraulic systems, component selection, hose and fittings, sealing applications, industrial equipment, or related mechanical systems. Ability to interpret or learn technical drawings, schematics, specifications, part numbers, and customer application requirements. Strong business development skills with a track record of building relationships, identifying opportunities, and meeting or exceeding sales goals. Comfortable calling on maintenance, engineering, purchasing, operations, OEM, and management-level contacts. Strong communication, follow-up, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general business technology. Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be strongly considered, including experience in hydraulic systems, hose and fittings, sealing products, industrial distribution, technical sales, field service, maintenance, or equipment-related sales. Candidates with strong customer relationships, mechanical aptitude, and relevant industrial product experience are encouraged to apply, even if they do not hold a technical degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to OEMs, industrial end users, maintenance teams, engineering departments, contractors, or manufacturing customers. Familiarity with hydraulic and sealing system applications, failure modes, troubleshooting, and product selection. Experience in industrial distribution or manufacturer sales channels. Existing relationships within the El Paso, West Texas, Southern New Mexico, or surrounding industrial markets. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred but not required.
