Job Summary

optek-Danulat is a business within the Fluid Handling Business Segment of Crane Co, a US multi-national which specializes in highly engineered products in niche markets. optek-Danulat designs, manufactures, markets and distributes a range of specialized instrumentation for a wide range of applications in a number of industries including the food and beverage, oil & gas, refinery, chemical, biopharmaceutical, and energy industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Inside Sales Representative to support customer service, quotation, and order entry activities during a period of operational integration. This role is critical to ensuring accurate order processing, strong customer communication, and alignment with internal processes and controls.

Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

Answer and manage incoming calls on the main customer service line, screen inquiries, and direct to appropriate internal teams

Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses. Prepare and revise customer quotations based on inputs from Sales, established pricing rules, and product knowledge

Convert approved quotations into orders using QuoteWerks

Enter and process customer orders in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Route completed orders to order processing or back to Sales when purchase order revisions are required

Ensure all customer, pricing, and order data is accurately recorded and maintained in company systems (QuoteWerks, Sage 50)

Maintain proper documentation to support transactions and ensure audit readiness

Provide backup support to production and order processing teams as needed

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve order or customer-related issues

Essential Qualifications /

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar Technical degree required. Ideal candidate has a career interest in Outside Technical Sales.

Experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales support preferred

Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy experience with ERPs preferred

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

Exposure to structured processes or controlled environments (SOX awareness is a plus) preferred
