Kettle Moraine Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Commercial Sales Engineer to join our growing team! This is your opportunity to transition into a leadership-focused, technically rewarding role where you'll make a real impact—guiding complex commercial HVAC projects from concept through completion. Reporting directly to the Commercial Sales Manager, you'll work alongside our sales, project management, and field teams to develop innovative solutions that are energy-efficient, code-compliant, cost-effective, and built to perform. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and specifying systems—including RTUs, UAUs, boilers, forced air, and geothermal—to ensure flawless execution and total client satisfaction. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping turn customer needs into engineered solutions while supporting project success at every step. At Kettle Moraine, we do it all—and we do it well. Responsibilities:
Perform load calculations and energy analysis for HVAC system sizing Design HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, and controls Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and installation teams to ensure designs are fully executable and cost-efficient. Select equipment and materials based on project requirements and best engineering practices. Stay updated with local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy codes. Provide technical support during construction and installation phases, including jobsite visits. Participate in value engineering and design-build projects to maximize system performance and client value. Recommend energy-saving upgrades or alternative system designs. Support the development of internal standards, templates, and best practices.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred) Clean driving record with valid license Organized Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge of building codes and mechanical standards Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines ServiceTitan experience a plus Lennox, Carrier and Mitsubishi experience a plus
