Job Description

We are in search of a seasoned Sales Manager with expertise in the transportation and railway industries to spearhead the growth of our Engineering, Digital, and IT services in the railroad sector. This position calls for in-depth knowledge of railroad operations and engineering, along with a track record of successfully overseeing large-scale engineering projects, leading cross-functional teams, and engaging with CIO organizations and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities Leading Engineering & Digital Services:
Manage large engineering and IT teams collaborating with CIO organizations, particularly in IT/Digital Services, ERP, and Systems Integration (SI) within the railroad industry.
Project Oversight:
Direct and execute complex business transactions, define and plan engineering projects, assist in large-scale staffing and recruitment, and build relationships with local staffing agencies for specialized skills.
Proposal Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams and clients to lead proposal efforts, determining project approach, timeline, and cost for delivering client value.
Thorough Project Planning:
Support comprehensive project planning, covering scope, cost, schedule, risk, and technical performance to ensure clear outcomes from initiation to completion.
Project Performance Monitoring:
Manage internal team performance by ensuring alignment on scope, cost, and schedule to achieve project success.
Client Relationship Building:
Act as the primary contact for clients throughout project execution, offer regular performance evaluations, address risks, and ensure client contentment.
Technical Oversight and Support:
Provide technical supervision and support during project implementation, oversee cross-functional team efforts, and directly supervise team members.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Guarantee adherence to relevant Quality Systems, industry regulations, and government standards.
Communication & Presentation Skills:
Utilize effective presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills to communicate proficiently with clients and team members. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited institution. At least 15+ years of relevant experience. A minimum of 10+ years in sales within CIO organizations, with 5-8 years specifically in the railway sector or in engineering services organizations supporting railroad operations.
Skills:
Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively across teams. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, and other business/project management tools). Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for successful client interactions.
